I heard similar things but others seemed to enjoy the last episodes. I'll have to check it out.

My apologies if this show has already been covered in this thread, but any thoughts on Animal Kingdom?

I was reading a piece in The Athletic about how there are many NHL players that have taken to watching this series while on the road.

And I thought it would be fun to watch Netflix's Daybreak with my 9-year old, who loves zombie shows, but this one also blows chunks. Why do directors still believe breaking the Fourth Wall is a good idea? Psst, it's annoying as hell.

Watched the first 2 episodes of Treadstone on USA. Pretty decent if you enjoy the Bourne movies, although it has the same repeating premise (what? There was another MK-Ultra program, and there's more killer spies out there!?!?!)

The Spy on Netflix was exceelent. It's the true-life tale of Eli Cohen, an Arab-born Israeli who infiltrates Syria in the early 1960s. Sacha Baron Cohen is actually great as the lead.

Looking for Alaska-Hulu (4 episodes in)
If you are 35-45 years old or a 12-19 old girI think this works for you. Based on a book that took years to turn into a screen.

It is Dead Poets Society with some teenage rivalry set in mid 2000. Good soundtrack from that word with a good story (so far). Main charscters are interesting and likeable.

I'm not sure if this is supposed to be the same universe as the comic/movie, or a re-imagining of the story line or what. Good production, no idea what was going on.
Yeah, I agree with this assessment. They threw you right into the story with zero explanation for why things are what they are.

From what I understand, the movie and the comic took place in 1985 and this series is present day and only involves a few of those same characters.
