Sure, just like the Left welcomes the nuttiest elements of Occupy Wall Street and other fringe goofballs when it suits their purposes.

Until such time that Romney or Boehner or others at that level are talking about Obama confiscating everyone's guns, I'll leave the freaking out about right-wing nutjob e-mails to The Left's paranoid loonies. LOL

Democrats haven't tried to make hay off of Occupy? Mmmmmkay...

I'd say if next four months of economic reports do not improve over the second quarter, that would leave the door open. I'm not sure Romney has what it takes to kick it down, but his professional history suggests to me that he is relentless in pursuit of his goals, and based on what I've seen of his campaign so far, he seems determined to win. I think he would need some kind of help to get there - either a pretty significant Obama mistake of some sort (probably not likely), or the intervention of some unforeseen event that turns the tide in his favor. Obama looks like the better bet at the moment, but I certainly wouldn't move my chips all-in yet.

        • Very little of what Occupy wants is in the Democratic Party platform.

Very much of what the far right wants is in the Republican Party platform.

yea, it's not going away now that more facts are coming out.

I'll reserve comment on that until the 2012 national platforms are actually written.

There will be an item in the GOP platform about respecting the right of gun ownership. If that item expresses any sort of real concern about governmental confiscation of guns, then I will unequivocally concede that the paranoid delusions of the right wing fringe have invaded the mainstream thought of the party.

and if I ever hear Obama come out in favor of Human-Animal Hybrids in a State of the Union address, I will do the same.

Horrendous, horrendous writing, extremely tone-deaf. Whoever allowed that to be published should have some explaining to do.

I agree with Erik the phrasing should have been cut in editing because you are handing your opponent amo, but the context was a little different than the one line.

                              • even in full context, that is "tone deaf," as noted.
it feels insulting to small business owners, regardless of the extent to which it might be true in a classroom setting.
