I would like him more if I wasn't so down on his team's QB situation. I would probably take him if I had a late 3rd and he was still there. But I have him behind Baldwin, Hopkins, Cooks and a couple of guys who haven't been taken yet.

Yeah, I agree. I'm down on Thomas for this year. I do think Lynch wins the job, though.

Piney, clean out your mailbox...for that matter, all of the others should as well.

Little agressive with the Mixon pick...the talent is there, but so is the competition. Hill isn't going to go quietly into the night...neither is Gio, IMO.

I'd be a little bit worried about Hill's goal line touches but he's been in decline the last 2 years and Bernard is coming off major injury. I took Mixon a few spots before I really would've liked to but have seen so many of my targeted players going a pick or two mine that I figured I had to take a chance and grab him before my turn came around again. I thought about taking Allen robinson with that pick and hoping that Mixon made it around the turn but you never know!

With Tyreek Hill, I thought for sure Allen Robinson or Montgomery would fall one more slot but it wasn't meant to be! Hill has undeniable upside but also carries risk as a "gadget" player. Hoping that Maclin leaving clears out targets with Kelce the only other real threat on that team to catch the ball.

Agreed - if this were a keeper league, I think this draft ranking is fair. Seeing as it is not, it is a little too early. Probably the best talent of the rookies, but the worst situation, IMO: revamped O-Line (could be for the better, could be for the worse), Hill and Gio's presence, and, of course, his character issues - that video is hard to overlook and he's one finger being laid on a lady away from Goodell's wrath.

Was really, really hoping for Montgomery to fall to me. He IS their back. They didn't do anything to try and give him competition this year (I don't believe Jamal Williams in the 4th round is a threat)

Good point regarding the O-line, I forgot they lost Zeitler, etc.

It'll be interesting to see where the rookie RB's shake out in general (and maybe worthy of another post by itself) considering none are really in "great" situations - Fournette has a lousy QB and not a great Oline, Mixon's concerns as you mention above, McCaffery has Stewart's presence and Cam running himself, Cook behind a bad Oline and Murray's presence, etc., etc. Obviously some camp/preseason action will help shake things out but it'll be interesting to see the "experts" talk about who could make the most impact given the various situations.

Agreed - especially in PPR, I think he can have a very good year. Biggest concern is workload and if he can handle it but I think he can.

From what everyone is saying, his durability is not a concern. Forget all of the "he's a converted receiver" stuff. Dude is built like an RB.

Well, they did draft THREE running backs! I like Montgomery, but would also not be surprised if one of the three they drafted emerged as a threat to his playing time. Remember the adage I posted earlier -- "there's no one there until there's someone there!"

                        • Re Tyreek Hill, I get a Cordarrelle Patterson 2.0 vibe from him. I need to see more evidence he can be a bona fide consistent threat before I spend a 4th round pick on him.

Re Jeremy Hill, if Cincy had any faith left in him, they wouldn't have spent such a high pick on Mixon. He's been pretty abysmal the past 2 years. There are reasons to be concerned about Mixon, but I don't think Hill is one of them.

Agreed. I know you gotta take gambles (I just did on Bryant) but I need more of a sample size from Hill to tell me he's more than a gimmick player.

                            • Went with the flavor of the month as I hear nothing but rants and raves from the "experts" about Martavis Bryant. He's a beast and he has produced incredible numbers when he isn't in the NFL's doghouse. Maybe a bit of a reach, but I didn't want to just miss out on him.

Anybody eyeing him over the next round?

I've met him in person - along with Jordy Nelson, and I was shocked he was a WR. He's 215-220, no doubt. Plus...I had to get a homer pick!!
