While I understand the Michael Thomas love and Chance taking him where he did is well in line with his current ADP, I just don't think that he will become a much bigger recipient of the Saints passing yards now that Brandin Cooks is gone. Fantasy football players -- myself included -- always fall victim to the "there's nobody else there" theory, but the reality is there's nobody else there until there's somebody else there.

The Saints have a lot of mouths to feed, so I just don't think it's a given that Thomas's stats improve greatly off his tremendous rookie year.

You may be right, but barring injury, I don't think his numbers have the potential to fall greatly from his rookie year either. Therefore, to me, his ADP is justified.

Color me a skepic on Ajayi. Take away those three huge games he had last year and he was actually pretty less than mediocre. The fins didn't think too highly of him heading in to last season and brought in Arian Foster who was being held together with Scotch tape. Anyway, yes, he is in line to get a big load, but let's see what Mr. Lung has to say about his consistency.

I'm always confused by an argument like this...take away that 84 yard TD and he would have only averaged 3 yards per carry. Take away that Grand Slam and he would have been 0-8 in the doubleheader. the problem is that you CAN'T take away those stats, they exist and they were a part of his season. I'd also venture to say that he probably won those games for his owners damn near single-handedly, which is a pretty nice bonus for a season.

Don't love Dez Bryant -- I was hoping for Gurley or Fournette -- but seems like a decent value at #21.

All good points. I am trying out a different strategy this year in trying to get high floor guys inthe early rounds. Call it a modified Gris strategy.

I almost took him a few slots earlier with my 2nd round pick so I'd agree you got pretty good value there. If healthy, he should have a pretty good year as Prescott continues to develop.

Yeah, I understand that. But for the games in which he didn't hit home runs, he was pretty sucky - which is fine for a back you probably drafted in the late rounds (or obtained off the waiver wire) last year. But to take a gamble on an inconsistent player in the first/second round is a gamble. I think Griswold's consistency theory has seeped in to my brain.

I do. I'm a fan of Dez. I think Dak's maturity will lend to him leaning on him more and Elliott blowing holes in D's with the run game will loosen things up for Dez.

Not sure if I'd really go TE this early but want to see how the draft goes if I do so grabbing Gronk here.

One of the people I'm eyeing at the turn is due to his consistency. Will be interesting to see if Gris nabs him first.

He was one of the people I was considering at the turn. Don't know if I'd do it in real life either.

He was my other consideration, but his injury history, combined with the Pats having a tremendous amount of pass catching options now, made me pass. My question with Gronk is: Is his ceiling as high in 2017 as it was 3 or 4 years ago?

I don't think his ceiling is as high but he is still the #1 TE as Kelce is nowhere near as enticing to me. Thus, picking him I've kind of settled on a zero-RB strategy so we'll see how that plays out but certainly he gives you a week-to-week positional advantage if nothing else. In PPR leagues, it just seems like its a bit easier to find backs to get you league average weekly points so will see how this goes.
