How have you not dropped "your" saying (for me) on this Sour Grapes asshat?

Haha. The difference would be that I'd completely mean if when I said it to him.

You've got this guy in a box in so many ways, it's like a cat trying to decide how to finish off a mouse.

Tempted to go the most-fun route, but if you know other owners, I'd just very calmly lay out the numbers you have, then ask what a reasonable resolution would be. It's like killing with kindness. An instant knife thrust so subtle that the victim doesn't even realize he's doomed, metaphorically speaking. And much less messy.

True, but there's not nearly as much emotional satisfaction as there would be in chopping his head off in front of all his friends (both of them).

Nevertheless, he should call a league meeting, lay it all out calmly and precisely, and end this nontroversy. Don't be like the "cat trying to decide how to finish off a mouse" or a TV/movie bad guy, taking so much time deciding how to kill off the opponent that the opponent makes his escape.

As far as I'm concerned the commissioner said that he can't change the stats so until I hear differently I really have no reason to engage this assclown when he's called me a cheat and a liar and then doesn't even have the balls to own up to those claims; or maybe he doesn't have the intelligence to realize that that's exactly what he's called me.

Got paid tonight and it was for first place. Sour Grapes complaints feel on deaf ears. Now everyone in the league knows what the rules are.

                    Congrats. Justice is served.

Maybe the other guy leaves the league making it better for all. If not beat him again.

I would expect other owners to now overreact to this quirk, which also could be to your advantage.

                        Well played, Bucky, and congratulations!

Now go kick Sour Grapes' a** again--and gloat while you're doing it. "I kicked your butt, I'm kicking it now, and I'll keep on kicking it for as long as I feel like kicking it."

Thanks guys. The guy isn't leaving. The league is mostly a bunch of guys that work at a bar that he owns. The draft is at the bar, he buys pizza for everyone (and free beer). He's not a bad guy. I spoke to the commish last night and the owner understood that he really didn't have much of an argument. He was mostly disappointed and frustrated at losing like that. He had a pitcher that he didn't start cause he didn't know the rule and that could have kept him in first. The commish thinks he was trying to be funny with the Melky comment and that it didn't translate well in written form. It's all water under the bridge, no gloating or anything like that, that's not my style. I will however, do my best to win again, gotta defend my three-peat title.

Sounds like you've played this perfectly before during, and now after. If he's not really a bad guy, I can see him being frustrated and making a mistake or two. He's human. Only helps your standing in the league, I'll bet, if you guys get along next season...

Thanks. I have no hard feelings towards him anymore, especially after talking to the commish, and I don't think he does towards me.
