Grilli or Biagini? Grilli has the proverbial "closing experience" but Biagini has been pretty great.

FANGRAPHS: Roberto Osuna blew a one-run lead in the ninth after allowing two hits and an earned run. In the offseason I was touting him as someone who could make a leap to the elite but he’s been shaky since returning from injury. He has yet to walk a batter though and his .412 BABIP and 57.1 LOB% is likely why his ERA is 5.40, albeit in only five innings pitched. Still, his SwStr% is down to 10% from a career 14.7% and his Zone Contact percentage is at 93.1% from a career rate of 79.9%. This is probably due to some decline in fastball velocity which stands at 94.4 mph from 95.7 mph last year. Normally that’s within the realm of normal, especially considering Osuna missed some time with injury but with the new measurement on velocities that’s closer to a 2+ mph drop which is more worrisome. It’s obviously a ridiculously small sample here but while Osuna has looked a tad unlucky he’s also getting hit harder than he has before. If his velocity doesn’t creep up in May then it might be worth wondering if he’s 100% healthy.

Toronto Blue Jays — Roberto Osuna’s struggles continued on Tuesday as he blew a save chance against the Cardinals. He has now allowed an earned run in three of his first five appearances since returning from the DL. When the Jays regained the lead in the 11th, they called upon Ryan Tepera to earn his second career save and first since 2015. Also, this happened. Hierarchy remains: Osuna | Grilli | Biagini.

Koda Glover to the DL with a hip impingement, the same thing that affected him last year. Kelley should get all the save chances in the short term.

The problem is he spent too much time hanging out on my fantasy team with Sam Dyson. And Kevin Gausman.

I would expect he has a pretty long leash and even if he has to take a break a bit will have the job back and perform adequately. That said, if I had to bet on someone else I'd probably bet on Joe Smith. He has an impressive 35% K-rate so far and has appeared in the 2nd most games (11 to Biagini's 12).

To-date, team struggles aside, Smith and Biagini have been pretty damn good, and crushing Grilli, too. And we all know, closers on even the worst teams can dish out some saves.

SMITH: 2.53 ERA, .938 WHIP, 14/1 K/BB
BIAGINI: 2.40 ERA, .933 WHIP, 10/3 K/BB.
GRILLI: 5.40 ERA, 1.44 WHIP, 9/5 K/BB.

Anthony Swarzak has given up 3 hits and 1 walk in 11.2 IP with 14 K and 0 R. Totally dominant. He's behind Robertson and Jones but he's still more than useful in a deep AL only leagues.

Brewers up 8-4 in 7th but go to flavor of the month Jacob Barnes, who allows 3 runs on 1 out and leaves a man on 1st for Knebel to clean up. which he does, but Torres then pitches the 8th.
