North and West of Philly sounds brutal, however.

I wasn't actually in S. Jersey that day. I was in Orlando, trying to fly back to Philly. Flight went from 1 hour delay to cancelled real quick. I watched the second half from a hotel room and we flew out the next morning.

Started new job in August and took a break from all things baseball.

        PMs cleared out.

        Good to see you again.

You are right that 70's music draft would have been fun (but no time back then).

Yeah, my daughter's preschool basically never closes and I can't even count the number of days she's been there even though the city schools were closed. Once she starts school it is going to be a neverending string of vacation days for me

My son's school district cancelled school again today. The big question is, where do we go from here? We are officially out of make-up days for the school year, and there is some debate what will happen if we have another school day cancelled. Apparently they can't just tack on days at the end of the school year (contractual obligations), so one of the rumors is they will make school days longer to make up the difference. Not sure how that would work, since students need to attend school 180 days.

The past two school years we had two days cancelled, both due to hurricane issues, not snow. This has been a loopy winter for our area.
Considering his only baseball post in the past year was bringing up a 3 year old thread to taunt Hornsby and he's never contributed a dime to our hatpass, perhaps?

We have at least a foot so far here northwest of Philly.

A foot here north of Baltimore. Southern end of the county (along the Chesapeake) reportedly received 18 inches. We expect another 4 to 6 tonight. Not doing anything right now.

My buddy just sent pictures of 9 inches of snow in Charlotte. I can't imagine what the SF Bay Area would be like with 9 inches of snow

Interesting tweet from CBCnews today ...

Snow is on ground in 49 of 50 states, only #Florida is completely snow-free right now. Feb 13. #sl pic.twitter.com/T7WuXYa96X
It certainly feels that way. But I'm distrustful of that feeling and am curious about evidence.

My office (in South Jersey) is closed, which is a very, very rare occasion. Those who can work from home are.

I'm at a conference in San Diego. Good news: Not dealing with that storm. Bad news: I was supposed to fly back tonight, but my flight was canceled, so I can't leave until tomorrow night.

Sounds like good news to me. SD is beautiful!

If you're lucky you'll leave tomorrow night.

I woke up to about 8 inches this morning, but it's tapering off and will be just a memory by this afternoon.
