      Free - Heartbreaker (1973)

      Their final album and not one of their more popular ones, it's extremely emotionally resonant; a feeling of mental, spiritual and sonic heaviness pervades throughout. (Guitarist Paul Kossoff's health problems probably have something to do with this.) "Wishing Well" and the title track are two of Paul Rodgers' very finest performances. "Easy on My Soul" is a sublime plea for relief.

              Almost pulled the trigger on Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap as well but decided to go with Deep Purple as my last hard rock inclusion instead.

                          • There was a ton of stuff I wanted on my roster, but you can't have everything. It pretty much boiled down to what I was listening to at the time. Here's a few that were almost selected at one point or another.
