awesome followup to Kennedy tribute - Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC interviewing a next Kennedy generation but she has not realized that the next, next Kennedy generation has released a copious amount of baby puke on his dad's arm

I just tried watching O'Reilly coverage of the DNC. He is weirdly patronizing and despicable.

I know this is "DUH" to most of you but WOW every time I watch him I am more appalled

DNC looking more fired up than the RNC. Lilly Ledbetter as primarily an economic message instead of as a social one was a good move.

Martin O'Malley-- the Democratic answer to Tim Pawlenty. God, will someone please break the typing fingers of the next person who writes a call and response speech this bad? #MakeHimStopSpeaking

Doubly tragic following the great speeches by Deval Patrick & Rahm Emmanuel.

Michelle Obama would probably win a likable contest in a landslide.

I accidentally caught part of the DNC last night. I decided to "suffer" through some of the First Lady's speech. I watched more than I wanted...she has to be one of the best speaking First Ladies ever.
Considering his only baseball post in the past year was bringing up a 3 year old thread to taunt Hornsby and he's never contributed a dime to our hatpass, perhaps?

wow, Fox News and their friends doing cartwheels over this one re the 2012 platform:

"Also gone is a previous reference to “God.” The Democratic Party’s 2008 platform mentioned “God” once, in this passage (emphasis added):
We need a government that stands up for the hopes, values, and interests of working people, and gives everyone willing to work hard the chance to make the most of their God-given potential."

This is the best way to fire up the religious African-American and Latino base, lol - take God away.

From a reality standpoint? who cares
From a strategic standpoint? why serve one up on a tee when you don't have to?

Limbaugh will be more insufferable than ever today, if that is even possible.

Edit: And please don't tell me that what you're saying is that the Democrats should have mentioned god just for political expediency's sake, Judge Jude.
While I agree with the first part, I can't with the edit-- I think that's exactly what JJ was saying, and I'd agree with it. Needless distraction. Get God the hell out of government, but while it's in there don't be dumb about it.

Forty years ago, the Republican platform didn't mention God even once. This year, numerous references. Are we a less religious nation? A more religious nation? I'm not sure how to read this.
