I just tried watching O'Reilly coverage of the DNC. He is weirdly patronizing and despicable.

I accidentally caught part of the DNC last night. I decided to "suffer" through some of the First Lady's speech. I watched more than I wanted...she has to be one of the best speaking First Ladies ever.

This is the best way to fire up the religious African-American and Latino base, lol - take God away.

From a reality standpoint? who cares

ARGH, I am so ****ing sick of hearing people bitch about "god". Is the First Amendment unclear to all you morons? Go to church if you want religion, but keep it the hell out of government.


Edit: And please don't tell me that what you're saying is that the Democrats should have mentioned god just for political expediency's sake, Judge Jude.

While I agree with the first part, I can't with the edit-- I think that's exactly what JJ was saying, and I'd agree with it. Needless distraction. Get God the hell out of government, but while it's in there don't be dumb about it.

Forty years ago, the Republican platform didn't mention God even once. This year, numerous references. Are we a less religious nation? A more religious nation? I'm not sure how to read this.
