3.04 - In the Midnight Hour - Wilson Pickett (1965)
If DMT didn't exist we would have to invent it. There has to be a weirdest thing. Once we have the concept weird, there has to be a weirdest thing. And DMT is simply it.
- Terence McKenna
Bullshit is everywhere. - George Carlin (& Jon Stewart)
How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are? - Satchel Paige

The real godfather of soul. Picked this in the main classic rock draft also (I think) ... this would be my 1.01 if we were ranking our picks.
3.06 Bring It On Home To Me - Sam Cooke
This version from my one of my all-time favorite live CD's, Sam Cooke Live At The Harlem Square Club, 1963.

4.01 Rock Your Baby- George McRae
1974, I'm 12 ...I remember lying on the floor in my living room at night, in front of our old RCA console stereo, and hearing this amazing song on some FM station. It's hard to remember now, in those pre-disco days, how different and catchy this was when it came out. This song, and that beat, went on to conquer the world... and I knew it from the very first time I heard it. I've never gotten tired of it, either.
Not many people know that Harry Casey of KC and the Sunshine Band wrote and produced it... he gave it to fellow Miamian George McCrae because he couldn't hit those high notes! One martini, two martini, three martini, floor.
