"It was the tea party the Obamas just couldn’t resist.

A White House “Alice in Wonderland” costume ball — put on by Johnny Depp and Hollywood director Tim Burton — proved to be a Mad-as-a-Hatter idea that was never made public for fear of a political backlash during hard economic times, according to a new tell-all.

“The Obamas,” by New York Times correspondent Jodi Kantor, tells of the first Halloween party the first couple feted at the White House in 2009. It was so over the top that “Star Wars” creator George Lucas sent the original Chewbacca to mingle with invited guests."

I suppose anything's possible, but I don't see what's in it for her. If Obama is ahead, they won't ask her--they'll stick with Biden. If they are sweating it, what does she gain by taking the risk of getting a loss? She'd be better off just campaigning for him because win or lose, she's still unspoilt for 2016.

They ain't the only ones. That's a dream-team, to me.

I'd be more surprised if she wasnt on the ticket as VP.

                    The GOP too.

I would be surprised if she would take the role.

I wouldn't - she'd be set up perfectly for 2016, should she still want to take a shot at the presidency.

It would be nice if She and the White House could agree on a job descriotion and a chain of authority. For that matter it would helpful if they at least copied each other on the memos.

Hilary will not run in 2016. Too many Reagan comparisons vis her age. She was born 1947.

                          • That may well be a logical statement, but Hilary is tremendously ambitious, and that issue didn't stop McCain.

As a woman, she'd have a life expectancy of about 16 more years at that point.

Put another way, assuming typical actuarial figures apply to her, she'd have a 7 percent chance of dying in her first term and a 17 percent chance of dying in two terms in office. For a man of the same age, it would be 10 percent and 23 percent.
