My wife and I hosted a traveler through AirBnB the other day... Conservative guy, one of the first we've had. He spouted all the right wing talking points about how the minimum wage boost is going to kill all of our jobs, the marijuana laws were going to upend society, etc. This guy stood in the kitchen from 4:30 to 7:30 talking to me, first while I made dinner, then through my wife and I eating dinner and doing the dishes. 3 fricking hours... My wife concluded that she wasn't sure if all Conservatives lack the emotional intelligence to understand that as hosts we are obligated to talk to this guy and be nice, and show some courtesy to leave us be. It was a fine conversation, despite his constant lines of attack against poor people. The lack of understanding personal boundaries was kind of shocking though.Larry David was once being heckled, long before any success. Heckler says "I'm taking my dog over to fuck your mother, weekly." Larry responds "I hate to tell you this, but your dog isn't liking it."

I agree with Mith. The conservative Facebook friends share crap from The Newly Press, Infowars, Breitbart, and a few other far right Facebook pages constantly. So many are obvious lies and bullshit yet they continue to share them as if they are gospel - even after being shown that the posts are false. They either don't care or are too obtuse to understand. Sometimes they make my head want to explode when I read their comments.
However, I don't see many postings from liberal friends - is it because there aren't as many 'liberal' pages out there? Or do they actually 'fact check' before sharing? I don't know the answer to that.
