      Richard Hatch, who played Capt. Apollo on the original Battlestar Galactica, died from pancreatic cancer at age 71. RIP.

        That description gives him short shrift. He was also an incredible bass player and made great contributions to King Crimson (bassist-vocalist on three of their best albums), Roxy Music and Family.

            The majority won't know who this is, but a Canadian radio legend died yesterday, Stuart McLean at 68. Without a doubt the best storyteller I've ever heard, he hosted a radio show up here called the Vinyl Café, kind of a Canadian version of a Prairie Home Companion. Many of us grew up listening to him & stories - his Dave & Morley Christmas story is a classic up here. If you/your family loves to hear a good story check him out.
            It certainly feels that way. But I'm distrustful of that feeling and am curious about evidence.
