I admire and appreciate the optimism. I worry about the voter suppression efforts in the key swing states given how close the polling is, but I guess we will find out soon enough....or maybe not given that if it is close, it will get drawn out for maybe weeks. I hope not, though. The anxiety would be brutal.

Also, you know full well we won't see either of these guys in these political threads if Trump loses, unless it is to proclaim that the election was rigged by Jews with space lasers (I'm looking at you umjewman) and Star Trek Deep Space 9 characters (shout out to those that get the Dominion reference).

Regardless, the idea of Trump winning by 3% or more should not be shocking. The polls back it up.

the polls don't actually back it up, they show an even race or Harris ahead. That doesn't mean Trump won't win by 3%, but you seem to struggle with facts

Please don't disturb me this time of year. You have no idea how complex the calibrations are on the space lasers. Every second on this board is time away from making sure the lasers are directed to the proper location for maximum efficiency.

Not to distract you further, but since I'm only half Jewish, I assume I have been left out of the loop on this and I've always wondered--since you full blooded Jews can control the weather and send hurricanes wherever you want, why aren't you making it rain more often in the deserts? Israel could use some more precipitation and think of the money that can be made buying up arid wastelands on the cheap and then using your space lasers to bring them back to life with all the rain you can make. It is really a missed opportunity. I hope you will be a mensch and present my ideas to the appropriate council and put in a good word for me for full membership.

P.S. I have an outdoor event coming up and it would be really nice to have access to those space lasers to ensure the weather is good for the event. If that is too much trouble, I understand, what with the election and all--you have other priorities.

Winning by 3% would likely involve outperforming his polling again, which is possible but not a given.

As for the closeness, I will say that there is a clear leader who also has the trend in support, ie ahead and pulling away.

I'm hardly ever invited, but what if I actually DID drive up to Binghamton when FS is visiting for one of his every other week trips to Binghamton? That would be an event not to be missed.

I was talking to a buddy of mine this morning that I'd almost convinced to not vote for Trump, but my years of work convincing him went right down the drain after the Rogan interview, which to him proved Trump is a great guy. I sent him links to several times recently that Trump showed he is not, including when he said he'd use the military to fight his political opponents, and when he called the Georgia governor asking him to find another 12k votes after the count. His response was that you can't believe what you hear and see these days and he thinks the clips I sent, including one from a Fox News interview were AI fakes. He said leftists like me always claim he is a fascist with no proof, but won't believe any of the proof I show him. I showed him where even Vance compared him to Hitler before, but he thinks that is fake too. And the ones he does accept, like Kelly, he says they are just butt-hurt cuz they got fired by Trump. I give up. You can't convince someone who wont' believe anything they see and hear and would rather believe what they want to believe, despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

I'm not a Democrat but it's odd that you don't understand simple concepts like abiding by the federal law. I thought Rebublican was the party of law and order?
