  • I just bought a new gaming computer that arrives tomorrow. Gimme some PC games I need to download. I've been playing Age of Empires III for the last few weeks after a 15-year hiatus. I tend to like those kinds of games, as well as wargames and some decent role playing games. Hook me up, yo.

I've been addicted to the steam digital version of "D&D Lords of Waterdeep" over the past few days. Well worth the 10 bucks. Bought it after watching this:

I don't game at all, but can you play games like this with people you know ? That might be kind of fun

Champagne for breakfast and a Sherman in my hand !

I just saw somewhere that you can do online D&D through a site called roll20.net. Not sure how it works, though.

The Call of Duty series for war stuff. Personally, the modern ones with jetpacks and shit are stupid, but the war ones, starting with COD 4 are good. Online is only alive pretty much for the newest ones, though.

Role playing: Skyrim (dragons n shit), Fallout (post-apocalyptic), Divinity Original Sin II (turn-based fighting), and probably the best one of all --- Witcher 3. Buy Witcher 3, it's fucking really good.
War: I don't play a lot but I like the Call of Duty games and killing the shit out of Nazis on any Wolfenstein game. Metal Gear Solid is very well rated but I couldn't stand it because I hate sneaking around --- guns a blazin' for me!
Strategy: Civilization 5. There are certainly others but this one is the shit.

You should also buy Grand Theft Auto 5 because it's ridiculously fun in every way possible.

For that game I posted above? You could run that on a potato. It's just a digital version of a board game. A laptop would be fine ... well ... assuming it's not running Windows 95 or something. If you like games like that, there are lots of them, and they tend to be very reasonably priced and always on sale.

                        You know about Steam right?

                            What is steam ?
So Steam is the main portal for purchasing games online. Most games can be found there, though a lot of the major publishers have their own dedicated portals. You won't find any Blizzard games on Steam for instance (World of Warcraft, Starcraft etc).

They have huge sales 3 times a year, when game like the one I post above can be bought for a couple of bucks. In fact, any game more than 1 or 2 years old can be found really cheap during steam sales.

Steam is the ultimate destination for playing, discussing, and creating games.

Note though, if you are on an older laptop that isn't built for playing games, it'll not be playing anything mildly demanding. In fact even new laptop that aren't designed for gaming can't play games.

Goole "steam", install the client, and see for yourself.
