Strategies for daily leagues

I am late to this game, just discovered this. Played my 1st HTH tonight, a wimpy $5 entry, and won. I can see how I can get myself into trouble doing this, as I am pretty insanely competitive. I will keep an eye on this thread for some hints, as clearly there are some people who know what they are doing on here!

Ok, going to be a busy day tomorrow so I started looking ahead.

King Felix will almost certainly crush the Astros, but he is pricey. I am thinking of going with AJ Burnett, 7200 against philly. AJ is a nice K guy and the Phillies lineup is not looking too tough. I don't like the stadium, but we will see.

Looking at trying to get Justin Upton into my lineup in Colorado against Jeff Francis and a lot of Rangers against Blanton in Anaheim. Oh and Posey is still pretty cheap so I will keep riding him. Anyone else already looking ahead?

Ed-you mentioned that you entered seven yesterday for today. Do you do that because your bound to get people who don't change their lineups once they enter a day beforehand? I typically enter first thing in the morning with a crap lineup and then adjust, but doing it the day before is even better.

It was more because I wanted to enter as many Double Ups as possible and wasn't sure how quickly they fill up, but you're certainly on to something!

FYI, snow forecast for Minny also, so scratch that game too.

I'd like to use Bourjos and upgrade to Starlin at SS, so I'm going to use that combo with my 4 cheaper leagues since I'm not 100% sure Bourjos is starting.

I did not realize how that Seager was so cheap and hitting 2nd. I gave that a go and fooled with a few other things to use King Felix in 3 of the leagues and AJ in 3. Everything is double up or 50/50 and 1 Head to Head. I wish the angels and rangers would post their lineups, I would hate to get stung by them. The Giants already did and Posey is in.

Also like frae a bit uneasy with the lineup fron LAA not being published yet, and that 6:35pm start is looming. I'm working on another lineup with less Angels players.
