In the best of times, our days are numbered, anyway. And it would be a crime against Nature for any generation to take the world crisis so solemnly that it put off enjoying those things for which we were presumably designed in the first place, and which the gravest statesmen and the hoarsest politicians hope to make available to all men in the end: I mean the opportunity to do good work, to fall in love, to enjoy friends, to sit under trees, to read, to hit a ball and bounce the baby.

Alex Rodriguez still winning friends. From Rotoworld--
"The New York Times reports that Alex Rodriguez sued Major League Baseball Thursday, accusing it of buying the cooperation of Biogenesis founder Anthony Bosch.
The lawsuit claims that MLB paid Bosch $5 million for his cooperation and purchased stolen documents for $150,000. It was Bosch's cooperation, of course, that helped result in A-Rod's 211-game suspension for his connection with the infamous clinic. A-Rod began the appeal of his suspension on Monday at MLB headquarters in New York, but the lawsuit filed against MLB is a separate matter."
Can the legal eagles here enlighten me on this? Is there an advantage in his filing suit before the arbitrator has made a ruling? is this pure public relations?Only the madman is absolutely sure. -Robert Anton Wilson, novelist (1932-2007)
