I wasn't saying it was a bad pick, just providing an explanation for why he lasted as long as he did despite last year's numbers.

Actually your comment just made me remember that trade I did back then. That hurt back then.
Bob- I'm not exactly sure it would ROCK as you say it Byron.. it may be cool, by typical text book descriptions. Your opinion of this is shallow and poorly constructed, but allow me to re-craft your initial thought into something tangable.

Two reasons why guys like Pavano last this long--

        1. There's no sizzle to guys as "old" as Pavano and Lowe.

        2. In Pavano's case, there's also the health issue, as Yankee fans in particular know. I figure there will be a lot of medical question mark guys taken, but no one is eager to possibly waste a pick on one this early.

Or where you can be wrong for being mad at yourself for taking Garrett Jones.

Just wait, new guys. It gets hilarious/disgusting in a few rounds.

You mean when you wish there was news that Pedro Martinez was signed to a minor league contract just so you could make a speculative pick for him!

When I said "new guys", I wasn't referring to anyone in particular.

Jed almost made me wish I didn't draft Aybar when I did. Love Aviles and wouldn't have minded both he and Jed in the infield.

I thought about him with my last pick but thought it was too early. Oh well.

                              • Duensing and Casilla were guys I considered. If I had thought about Horns being at the turn I'd have taken Duensing...I was positive he'd make it back...I have plenty of Twins anyway, but IMO, Duensing is the #3 pitcher on the Twins staff.

i have epiphanies like that all the time. for example i was watching a basketball game today and realized pom poms are like a pair of tits. there's 2 of them. they're round. they shake. women play with them. thus instead of having two, cheerleaders have four boobs.
