Is any Cards fan in their right mind excited or impressed by this?
Did Mo get a AARP bulk discount on these 3?

    • Sticking with the AARP theme....The Cardinals have signed Matt Carpenter to a one-year deal.

      • Lars Nootbaar has been diagnosed with two non-displaced fractures in his left rib cage. The Cardinals say he will be ready for opening day. I'm not so sure.

I remember that pitcher Mike Hampton once had a cracked rib and he missed only 1 start, which I thought was amazing.

            • Dylan Carlson has a sprained AC joint in his left shoulder and will be on the injured list to start the season. It's time for Victor Scott.

              • Dylan Carlson sprained his AC joint in his shoulder and will start the year on the IL. Victor Scott II will be promoted to be the everyday CFer.

                  • Victor Scott has really struggled in his first two weeks of MLB action. Looks like this kid needs a few months of Triple-A ball to get his confidence back.

                    • Willson Contreras could be done for the year after being removed from Tuesday’s game with a fractured left forearm.

Contreras was struck directly on the left forearm by a swing, not a backswing, from Mets designated hitter J.D. Martinez and was immediately lifted from the contest.

Really sucks. He was having a great year. I have him and just got a text from a rival, saying "tough break." I didn't see the swing, but how the heck did that happen? The update says he will miss 6-8 weeks.

Contreras was wayyyy to close to the plate. He lined up with his glove even with JD's back leg. Apparently they wanted him closer to the plate to work on a better target for low pitches.

                          • This one is really on me. I hardly ever get top tier catchers and this year I traded for Contreras. Correlation does equal causation.

I wish you would have told me earlier!

Let us know who you get to replace him so we can make room on the IL for that player too
