Since that game in Cinn. where he gave up 6 runs, he hasn't given up another run in 13+ innings and has a 13/3 K/bb ratio. keep him if you have him, he'll be worth more soon.
I really like him and I have him at $2. However, am in negotiations to get Greinke and Luebke is part of the deal. The owner keeps trying to squeeze me for more. I can really use wins but somehow I'm not that desperate to make the deal.

Padre pitchers aren't going to get many wins this season if that makes any difference.

Good point. Though if he goes into the rotation his chances at wins goes way up. My starting pitchers are very good just very unlucky so far (I'm looking at you Ubaldo). I don't want to hi-jack the thread. Perhaps I'll start a thread in the appropriate forum.

Harang to the DL, Moseley maybe to the DL, Bass up to start for Harang, and Moseley's replacement TBD. No mention of Luebke anywhere and judging by his one inning at a time usage lately, maybe he's not going to get a chance to start this season.

Perhaps they don't want him to start for someone who's on the DL and then have to go back to relief when that player returns. My guess is that when they move him to the rotation it will be permanent.

Luebke pitched great for 3 innings before running out of gas in his 4th inning. The Pads are now 14 games below .500. I expect the Padres to give him a rotation spot soon.

you and me both pal. Did he give up those runs or did someone come in behind him and not be able to clean up the mess?

bleh, I was waiting a little longer before picking him up and one of the top teams snatched Luebke out from under me two days ago. Until Harang is traded, I think Luebke's best chance of getting into the rotation is if the Pads give up on Richard.

He gave up one on a 1 out double to A. Gonzalez, though the Pads almost turned a double play before Gonzalez's double, which would have meant no runs would have scored. Frieri walked to batters and hit a batter with 2 outs, allowing Gonzalez to score.

The Pads just called up a lefty reliever from the minors. Bodes well for Luebke getting a rotation spot in the near term.

f me. Watched him all season, picked him up twice, dropped twice. Was very close to grabbing him again for the rest of the season but decided to wait another week.

Okay now. Time to reap the dividends.

Did anyone see the game? Did the performance look as good as the stats do?
