Yup sounds like full blown committee...Mujica, Pomeranz, Fernando Rodriguez could make some noise, and Doolittle could cloud the pic in late August or September. Meh. Unless desperate I'd save your money on Mujica. It's not like he provides great peripherals.

As a Clippard/Pom owner I grabbed Mujica at $2 last week. Clippard is useless in AL 5x5 now.

I own both Storen and Papelbon. This would be bittersweet. Storen owners should be looking to deal, and fast.

Kimbrel and Chapman have also been linked to the Nationals. That to me says "we don't want Storen closing in the playoffs again."

Are we sure Papelbon closes over Storen?

Papelbon said he wanted to be the closer wherever he goes, and trading for him without having him close would seem odd.

But Storen has just 2 Blown Saves, none in last 30 days, and a sub-2.00 ERA, great K numbers as well.

He isn't Papel-douche for no reason. I don't think he would waive his no trade clause without being told he is the closer. Sorry Storen owners.

so almost a full year of hand-wringing and insistence that they wanted a big time haul for Papelbon and/or Hamels and then they trade PapelD inside the division for a AA pitcher and that's it? They better be getting the world for Hamels tomorrow.

Welllllp, couldn't unload Storen...now I "only" have Papelbon, Ramos, Boxberger, Tolleson, Osuna, Carson Smith left ...with JJ Hoover and Vizcaino stashed in case Chapman/J.Johnson are unloaded from Cincy and Atlanta.
