    Home Sweet Home

    Well my adventures in Vegas have come to an end. A really good Full Time position was offered to me back in San Diego and I'm taking it. I'll be moving in less than a week and will be rooming with a friend in Ocean beach until the girls finish their 1st semester, then they'll join me in Paradise!

    Thanks to all those I got to meet in Vegas and if you're every in San Diego...make sure you drop by so I can drag you out of your SUV and beat you.

      Very, they're not too fond of Vegas (nor am I) and they really dislike their new step dad lol. Mom's may or may not be join them, though they'll be there full time with me.

                    Congrats GITH...wonderful news.
                    Considering his only baseball post in the past year was bringing up a 3 year old thread to taunt Hornsby and he's never contributed a dime to our hatpass, perhaps?

                      Awesome Doig - Personally I believe LV is a f'n s*&^hole- I'm sure your excited to put it in the rear view...wasn't for conferences and a couple of clients , I would never set foot there again.

                      Geez-what's not to like, full time gig you like with bennies and hopefully a future
                      I have a cousin that lives in OB - very unique laid back beach town and a huge departure from LV

                            No more karaoke at Ellis Island? That may be the only thing you'll miss about LV.

                            My brother lives in San Diego, and actually asked when I'm going to visit him (which I've done once in the 33 years he's lived there). Now I'll have to plan a visit during baseball season!

                              Updating:

                              so I've been back for over 2 months now. reconnected with lots of friends. I walk the beach every day I can (about 5 times a week) and when i don't I can see the ocean from my place and hear the waves and smell the ocean air. I've never been one to be all holistic and ****, but it's made a world of difference in my well being. PLUS, I've lost 20lbs in 2 months--amazing. I can't see myself living anywhere else. I see the girls every 2 weeks or so and chat with them everyday. There's some question of whether they'll be moving here or just visiting, but we'll figure that out and I'm sure they'll eventually end up here. The job is going great. It's wonderful to work somewhere when they value your experience. I finished my 5 weeks of training in 1 week and was moved to another shift for supposedly another 5 weeks of training, hopefully I can ace it quickly and then find my permanent shift and schedule. Thanks for the well wished and please let me know if you're out this way.


                              PS: I'm buying Padre mini season tix for next season--It'll be my first time ever at Petco (amazingly enough).
