Originally posted by Hornsby View PostC'mon man, Walker spent somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 million to keep his job, and just where do you think a great deal of that money came from? Americans for Prosperity, that's who...a Koch Brothers Super Pac. You get a foot in the door like that, and before too long you're sitting down at the dinner table deciding what's for dinner...
Frankly, I know neither is true, despite the objections on both sides. If the Kochs are so vested in Wisconsin government, exactly how have they been paid off? I'm pretty familiar with just about any assets they have in Wisconsin - I've worked extensively at one of them, and less at two others - so, I'm game. I've already named two fallacies thrown out by the left in Wisconsin that were "sure" to happen if Walker was elected, and then kept in office, and neither have a scrap of truth in them. So, what's next? Georgia-Pacific being exempt from state air quality regs? Nope, not happening. Koch's investing over $100MM in pollution control equipment in Green Bay. G-P being removed from the PCB costs (which happened many years before Koch by a local paper company now part of G-P, BTW)? Nope, again, not happening. That's gonna be a $200MM+ bill before it's done, maybe more.
So, what's the payoff? Get off the theoretical, and give me something real. I'm game.I'm just here for the baseball.

I'm open to debate, but I can't come up with one snatch of anything that's financially benefitted the Kochs since Walker was elected. If you've got something, I'm open to hearing it. I know there were two major utility projects coming up that all the libs were sure Koch would get. Both were absolute phantasms. There's two major outstanding bills hanging over a major Koch subsidiary that aren't being changed.I'm just here for the baseball.
