Maybe we could all take off our partisan glasses. I'll take off mine when you take off yours. Let's summarize: Repiblicans lie, democrats don't. Republicans are responsible for gridlock in Washington and democrats aren't. Only republicans bring race into the campaign, democrats don't.
Let's go to your summary...Republican lie, so do Democrats...but the Republican VP candidate lied during his 1st week running...bad idea with an easy paper trail to follow. Actually, bad idea period. And you're right, Republicans ARE mainly responsible for the gridlock in Congress....they are the opposition party, and they make NO attempt to work across the aisle. The house leadership makes sure that nothing can pass, no matter how good an idea it may be. The Dems play tit for tat as much as they can, that's true, but the old adage is the President proposes, and the Congress disposes. The sad thing is it doesn't have to be this way...a good idea is a good idea, it shouldn't matter who proposes it. And sometimes a tax raise is a good idea, not that you can convince the tea party types of that. Same goes for tax cuts...GREAT idea for those of us in the middle...as long as the economy is going along well.
And seriously, you cannot even equate what President Obama has had to go through concerning racism vs one throwaway line that was stupid by Biden...it's not even in the same stratosphere."Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake."

As I said above, and attempted to say early on, why the name calling? We'll agree to disagree on your points about whose at fault for gridlock. BUt if you think you're not partisan, then we'll have to agree to disagree on that as well. I'm done now. I need to eat my dog!I know in my heart that man is good. Originally posted by Bernie Brewer View PostYup, I need to step back! I am the one slinging labels and calling Ryan names. Yup, you're right, Label maker! I love how you say YOUR guy. My guy? I didn't pick him. Speaking of houses and stones, POT MEET KETTLE. And you are clearly the right person to judge people because you know what the intent was of a person. You're certain he lied, not made a mistake! The Label Maker is all knowing!
Only Republicans lie epically. Got it. Wow, you're turning into a full-fledged left winger with your logical counter argument there!
Wow, you and I are finally in agreement on my original point. And, let’s be honest, you weren’t going to like the Republican VP candidate regardless of anything he said.
I think Lucky likes to refer to what you're saying here as a "Straw Man". Did I ever say anything about the politics of hate! Nope, but if you want to go there, I think that was in direct response to Obama not acknowledging the error of his running mate making those off color remarks. Now if you want to look at all the dirty campaign ads, I'm OK with that. Let's look at who's lying and how outrageous those lies are. I think you'll find YOUR guy ain't so squeaky clean.
Do you read? I’m sure but you make great excuses for a guy who supposedly knew what he was getting into. As I said, I was being purposefully absurd to make a point, one which with you finally agreed that you were very (I’d say ridiculously) judgmental. But, the rest tells me you clearly are not capable of seeing through those partisan glasses you are wearing.
And just for the record, I voted for Bush Jr's twice, Bob Dole, Bush Sr. Reagan, and a host of local Republican candidates, both on the state and national level. What the Republicans stand for today is wrong, what the tea party stands for is wrong...IMO."Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake."
