        at least in pro boxing, you don't have to let the fight last til the end; you have a chance to win outright.

        as I like to say, barrel jumping may be a lame sport, but it's a sport - who jumps over the most barrels, wins.

        Gymnastics and figure skating are popular competitions that require lots of skill, effort, and athleticism.
        they are not sports.
        swimming=sport
        diving=not a sport

        and "not a sport" is not a pejorative.
        great guitar riffs are "not a sport," either, but they still are awesome.

            • Ok Tennis is an olympic sport and Bar Refaeli is Israeli. Anyway She is playing tennis in her underwear you can't beat that.

                  • Did anyone see the women's 800m ... there was some debate that Caster Semenya deliberately dogged it so as not to have to go through all the publicity that accompanies a Gold. I'm not sure I buy this, but she ran a ridiculously awful race, and didn't seem upset by getting silver.

                      Given the value of a Gold Medal, I'd be surprised. But you're right, given how she'd dominated some races, I was very surprised at her race. I didn't see the splits, but she sure seemed to run a very unusual split for an 800.
