  • My lovely wife just bought us tickets to the Mark Knopfler concert at the Chicago Theater Oct. 2nd. Woo hoo! Fourth row left center.

    Thank you Honey!

He is one of the few left on my concert bucket list.

Added Queensryche, Scorpions and Mark Knopfler this last month. The first two were on my wife's bucket list. Knopfler on mine. Wife was thrilled. I am glad I went but would not need to see them again. The Zoo stuck in my head for about 3 days.

Mark Knopfler was a whole different experience. Small venue in The Chicago Theater, 4th row left center. Just a fantastic night. I am glad my wife loved it to. Old Mark was a pretty funny guy and played his butt off. 2 hours no breaks.

My wife and I were talking about this. She asked me to send my list to her to make up her own list. She was going to take the out the ones that we did not see together and add her's in. She asked me why I left off one of my favs Pink Floyd (twice) and our fairly recent Emmylou Harris...fixed.

Yes he did, but it did not sound anything like the one you posted. His voice is much deeper these days. He did not Sing Dead Skunk. He acted like it was old news and he was above it by his comments. I suspect it was because he can't hit the notes. Still entertaining.

Pretty sure he recorded that only a couple of years back. Probably the touring his voice can't handle.

                    Did he play this?

                    • Went to see Steve Hackett on Saturday. Fantastic show! He is a phenomenal guitarist and his band is top notch.

First half of the show was his solo material and the second half was Genesis material....some well-known and some lesser known.

If DMT didn't exist we would have to invent it. There has to be a weirdest thing. Once we have the concept weird, there has to be a weirdest thing. And DMT is simply it.

Frank Turner & Jason Isbell on the same ticket - nice.
That would be a pretty diverse crowd!
It certainly feels that way. But I'm distrustful of that feeling and am curious about evidence.

Turner asked for a show of hands if the audience never heard of him and 90% raised their hand.
