Though bold, I don't see this as anymore than wishful thinking.

It's almost funny now, but at the time, part of my support for Obama was based on the fact that she would be so deionized by the far right that it would polarize the country. I didn't realize they were going to demonize any Dem president.

And of course, now the far right has nothing but respect for her. Irony is so ironic!

Funny because you wished you had supported her instead or funny because you believe President Obama is doing a better a job than she would have?
I think SOS was a perfect fit for her. Lot of people think she'd have been a better President than him--I vacillate on that. I always thought she got fairly harsh treatment from the media during the primaries last time--seemed like it was all pro-obama all the time but it might have turned out for the best because she has been a great SOS.

Funny for the reason I stated -- I thought the GOP would use extreme rhetoric about her to polarize the country while they would not do that to Obama.

Agree on almost all points, especially that she is the best SOS we've had in a long while.

                • If those right-wingers will do it to water, no surprise they'd do it to Hillary, too.

Dude, you are joking, right? Limbaugh twice insinuated that Hillary ordered or might order a murder.

He practically made his entire show one long attack on Bill and Hillary.

One GOP voter asks McCain how they are going to stop "the bitch" and McCain doesn't even chastise her choice of words, but instead answers the question. The group Citizens United produced an entire movie attacking her! (Which ended up in the Supreme Court.)

I'm hardly the only one who has said this. For example, see http://www.boston.com/news/globe/edi...onize_clinton/

There was an organized, insistent agenda to demonize Hillary back then. It was practically a cottage industry. Only now do you hear any respect for her from the far right.

So while you may disagree, it's hardly "quite a charge" for me to say that the far right demonized her for years.
