I'm sure they do. But at this point they likely have more "unemployment fatigue."

You have to remember that it worked once. We have had 2 1/2 years demonstrating how well it worked.

Put it this way, 2001-2008 was like Miami going 8-3 and missing the BCS. The fans were in an uproar. Then the last few years gave them some perspective.

"The question is," said Alice, "whether you can make words mean so many different things."

"On Sunday morning, Former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman continued his quest to become the Republican Party’s presidential nominee on Opposite Day, swinging hard at frontrunner Rick Perry (R-TX) and the rest of the GOP field. In an interview with This Week fill-in Jake Tapper, Huntsman derided his fellow candidates’ lack of leadership, opposition to science, and even cracked wise about Perry’s history of secession talk.

Tapper followed up on Huntsman’s Twitter declaration, asking if he was serious when he said, “To be clear, I believe in evolution and trust scientists on global warming. Call me crazy,” or was he just “being cheeky?”

Huntsman responded that he takes the problem very seriously, that becoming “the anti-science party” is a “huge problem.”

“I can’t remember a time in our history where we actually were willing to shun science and become a – a party that – that was antithetical to science,” Huntsman said."

Huntsman has no choice. As of today, he is outside looking in. Romney is the only viable Mormon candidate, unless Huntsman can pull a rabbit out.

                        • If Huntsman were the nominee, I'd be extremely tempted to come back to the Republican Party. But you and I both know the Republican Party doesn't want people like us or thinking like that any more. We Reaganites now get called RINOs and worse.

I was just thinking that the distance between Austin and Waco is a far greater gap than I'd ever realized.

You have no idea. In Waco, I am the liberal in the crowd, because I support open borders and legal pot. What you really mean is the distance between Austin and the Governor's mansion. Austin would suit you fine.

I think a lot of Reaganites can deal with Romney. Unlike Huntsman, he is not a long shot.
