If Lucky wants to trade spots I have no problem with it, and it will probably be better logistically as well.
If DMT didn't exist we would have to invent it. There has to be a weirdest thing. Once we have the concept weird, there has to be a weirdest thing. And DMT is simply it.

Well I'm guessing this won't be the last time we cross picks

Thanks for the kind offer, but I'm good. Naturally, I have to complain about having the bookend pick, but I think it might be bad luck to change the order now.

Besides, it will work well for Alice and me...having two picks together will let us each have one we want.

Wow, there are a lot of great Dylan songs out there.
Heh, I felt like no matter which one I picked, I'd be making a mistake by not taking others. Tangled Up In Blue probably doesn't rank critically with his poetic protest masterpieces, but I still get a chill every time I hear that intro - it may not be his best song, but it's his song that I like best. Like a lot of songs on Blood On The Tracks, it exudes a haunted, wounded, very intimate vibe that just feels different from everything that came before it.
"When I use a word," Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone, "it means just what I choose it to mean - neither more nor less."
"The question is," said Alice, "whether you can make words mean so many different things."
"The question is," said Humpty Dumpty, "which is to be master - that's all."

            1.05 -Forever Young

One of my favorite songs of all time by any artist. One that as a Father strikes a chord in my heart. Amazing lyrics.

May God bless and keep you always,
May your wishes all come true,
May you always do for others
And let others do for you.
May you build a ladder to the stars
            And climb on every rung,
            May you stay forever young,
            Forever young, forever young,
            May you stay forever young.

May you grow up to be righteous,
May you grow up to be true,
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you.
            May you always be courageous,
            Stand upright and be strong,
            May you stay forever young,
            Forever young, forever young,
            May you stay forever young.

May your hands always be busy,
May your feet always be swift,
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift.
May your heart always be joyful,
May your song always be sung,
            May you stay forever young,
            Forever young, forever young,
            May you stay forever young

I think that's how we're all gonna feel most of the time in this thing.

                Rod Stewart songs are eligible?
I'm sorry, man, but I've got magic. I've got poetry in my fingertips. Most of the time--and this includes naps --I'm an F-18, bro. And I will destroy you in the air. I will deploy my ordinance to the ground.

I always thought it was a remake of the Dylan song, but Stewart did not intend it to be that way. He ended up settling out of court and split the cash with Dylan.

What a superb way to spend an afternoon...Dylan box set piped out to the back patio, floating around in the pool, musing with Alice over which songs we'll take with our back-to-back picks...made in the shade.

1.06 - Blowin' In The Wind

Odetta does a nice version of this.

Also, if I need to be skipped during the day, that's cool with me. Don't want to keep the hardcore Dylan fans waiting.

Larry David was once being heckled, long before any success. Heckler says "I'm taking my dog over to fuck your mother, weekly." Larry responds "I hate to tell you this, but your dog isn't liking it."

I was so hoping that Blowin' In The Wind would make it one more pick, but alas.

So, I'm going with a personal fave:

                            1.07 Subterranean Homesick Blues

On the turnaround, Alice comes up with a sleeper:

                              2.01 Highway 61 Revisited

                              Here's Johnny Winter's version:
