Well, I'm impressed. Working "UnAmerican" and "commie pinko" into the same post takes some creativity. I don't recall politics bleeding into baseball talk to any large extent, though, so could you give me a few examples?

I do have a couple of other questions. You do realize the rest of us work as well, don't you? I would venture that most of us have white collar jobs, since we have time to read and post in threads like this. In my case, I've been working and paying income and payroll taxes for 40 years. How about you? I also pay my share of real property taxes to support my local school and the kids there, including my son.

I don't understand why you say it is "UnAmerican" for posters in the Sports Bar to express their opinions. Is it because you think they are wrong?

I haven't seen the avatars claiming healthcare is a human right, but you obviously believe that it is not. Can you explain why health care shouldn't be a right in the greatest country on the face of the earth, probably the greatest country in history? Or would it be better for our country to take the position of every man for himself?

I'd like to understand your point of view. I couldn't find any personal information on your profile, but some context might help me appreciate your position better. How old are you? What do you do for a living? What were your biggest influences in forming your political views?

I'm not asking you to share stuff that I wouldn't. I'm 54. I work as a judge hearing mostly criminal cases, and have for the last 6+ years. Before that, I was a Prosecuting Attorney for 10+ years. I had a good conviction record, so I got elected judge with 73% of the vote. Years ago, I worked representing insurance companies, and defending cities against lawsuits for excessive force, etc. I'm married, with two kids.

I don't know how my political views came about. I grew up in a household where union jobs fed my sisters and me, so that gave me an appreciation for labor. I studied American History in college, and saw how our societal issues developed. My church (Presbyterian) is heavily involved in helping local people in need and preaches that we should take the lessons of Sunday morning into the work week with us. As a judge, I am continually learning more and more about our constitution, which I follow regardless of my personal feelings about a given case.

So, I've shared pretty much all there is to know about me. Let us get to know you better.

BTW, I'm not sure if you were implying that 250+ posts on the old site was a lot or a little. It is more than some, but you know that a lot of guys had 10,000+ posts, with at least one guy over 40,000.
