Listen, I dont disagree that Trump is a living nightmare, a walking embarrassment to humanity, but especially to the reputation of the US. We aren't debating him, we're debating electoral strategy.

If you guys think giving 30 seconds to the only superstar politician in the Dem party at the convention was smart, and also think having John Kasich delivering more messaging than all the progressives in the party combined was smart... well, just like Sour Masher said. You get exactly what you deserve.

I wish AOC had more power in the Democratic Party and believe they would benefit from that. But I also believe that AOC will lend her voice far more effectively to Biden's campaign over the next two months than Kasich will, and that the airtime they had at the convention doesn't matter for people's votes. Very few people are voting based on watching conventions, especially so in this election.

What do you think a politicians job is? Standing up to dictators, or refusing to meet with them? I think Trump's approach of meeting with dictators shows more "guts" than refusing to debate. Thats quite gutless. Its also fuel to Trump's message that Biden is mentally unfit if he can't debate Trump. I meant what I said earlier about Biden threatening to fight Trump. He has nothing left. Lucky for you, Democrats are likely stupid enough to rally behind a literal "fighter", so i think thats a less terrible strategy than debating him on facts.... (side note, if my Biden v. Trump fight challenge happens at the debate, someone better give me props... its a longshot I'd put money on.)
