In other '20 election news, GOP reps are retiring at a rapid rate, including 5 in Texas after Bill Flores pulled the plug. The latest is Wisconsin Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner, who is the 2nd longest serving Rep in Congress (elected in 1979), making him the 16th GOP Rep to announce they will be retiring rather than running for re-election (compared to just 3 Dems). This pattern tends to indicate that 1) the GOP reps think there is no shot of becoming the majority party; 2) sharing the ticket with their low approval Dopey leader won't do them any election favors; and 3) the polls favoring generic Dems by 7 pts over a generic GOPer are accurate. In Texas, the landscape is changing to become more purplish than Red, making it even more difficult for them.
