The tiebreaker may be that the worst team in the AFC West (OAK) is much worse than the worst team in the NFC West (STL). And STL should probably be a lot better next year.

Also, the 3rd place team in NFC West (ARI) didn't make the playoffs but had a better record than the 3rd place team in the AFC West (SD), which did make it.

NFC East teams face all four NFC West teams next year. As an Eagles fan I am not looking forward to that.

"The Texans are definitely NOT one of the worst teams."

Then the Redskins aren't one of the two worst teams, with RG III and Morris next year and a real coach. But Parcells said, "You are what your record says you are, so I'll go with that.

The idea of an 8-8 team getting screwed out of anything is hilarious, though (win a 9th game!).

And i can't imagine anyone saying the AFC West is best. As noted, top 3 are a wash head-to-head (technically NFC West has 35-33, but I think it's even).

Then the Raiders are a bad joke while the Rams were a very feisty 7-9 even without their QB down the stretch....

The Chargers better be down on their knees fellating the football Gods this morning after the gifts they were given yesterday:

        1. The Ravens and Dolphins losing
        2. The Chiefs playing all of their backups (although the excuse this morning as to why they played so poorly against them is because they didn't game plan for them. Whatever)
        3. Succop missing a 41 yarder
        4. The refs missing the illegal formation against the Chargers on the missed field goal
        5. Weddle's "forward progress" on the fake punt

As a Charger fan I'm as giddy as all get-out about them making the dance, but not too happy about the way we got there. Of course, it would have all been a moot point if they wouldn't have choked away games earlier in the year (Houston, Tenn, Redskins, Dolphins)

They better do something about that atrocious D before AJ Green rips them a new a-hole next week.

I'll still take Seattle, San Francisco & Arizona over Denver, Kansas City & San Diego.
