My 6-year old was watching the Giants-Skins game, and he says "Who's this guy (Kirk Cousins)? Where's #10?" I have no idea how he knew RGIII's number.

The Jets finished 2nd in the AFC East, ahead of Miami - and Steelers finished ahead of Baltimore in AFC North for the runnerup slot...

amazing if Chargers don't rally to see the Steelers make the playoffs after 0-4 and 2-6. of course, at 8-8 they don't belong, but neither does anyone else in that crowd...

I'm already getting a lot of sh** from Bengals fans (yes, they exist, but only show up in "good" times) about how the Mighty Bengals are going to kick the Steelers' tails if SD loses, New England wins, and it's the Steelers at Cincy next week. They're the same people who said that in 2005, and look what happened.

Fans of some teams just never learn from history. Perhaps that's part of why the Bengals are 0 for Existence at winning Super Bowls and haven't won a playoff game since the Bush Administration. That's Bush 41, not 43.

That said, if the Steelers do get in, the Bengals probably will kick their butts. Unlike the situation with the Pirates this year, the Steelers making the post-season could wind up being counter-productive in the long run.

Chiefs and Chargers now tied. A tie result puts the Chargers in. Could lead to some interesting strategy if the game goes into overtime.

Wow, the Chargers, looking like they're dead meat with KC about to kick a game winning FG, and inexplicably Ryan Succop's attempt is wide right.

I think the football gods just gave the middle finger to the Steelers.

                      Never said that.

This does get interesting, though. Do the Chargers play to win, or to not lose? Do the Chiefs, who certainly didn't want to be involved in overtime in a game that means nothing to them, go all-out? If neither team tries, does the Commissioner launch one of his famous "investigations"? I guess the latter depends on whether the franchises involved are among his pets or not.

Wow, Aaron Rodgers to a wide-open Randall Cobb to likely seal the fates for them and the Bears.

Why would the Chargers not "play to win" when a TD gets them in the playoffs? Why would the Chiefs, who played 2nd stringers all game, not go all out?

So much for all of the Steeler haters being on the West Coast. I guess sleeper cells are everywhere.
