ugh, the Giants sign former bellcow Brandon Jacobs. Great, now he can bitch & moan if he doesn't get the ball.

Pats placed Shane Vereen on the short-term IR, which means he can return in Week Nine. Ugh!!

So now it's being reported that Le'Veon Bell does indeed have a Lis Franc fracture and will miss at least another month.

Here's an article from the local paper. I'd be shocked if it was only a month.

Is he worth hanging on to? I have him in a keeper league where he'd cost a 4th round draft pick next year. Not much on the wire that would help me immediately though.

Honestly I don't know. I'd probably wait until something more interesting comes along, but without Pouncey the Steelers running game is never going to be particularly good.

I agree - if it wasn't a keeper league, I don't think I'd hang on to him but it's worth hanging on to for a few more weeks

I just stopped feeling sorry for the Steelers and Steeler fans.
I'm just here for the baseball.

You still feel bad for me though, right? Just for other reasons.

                          Here we go!!!!

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports Danny Amendola (groin) could be sidelined 2-6 weeks.

It's a humorously broad timeline, and indicative of how little we truly know about Patriots injury situations. Nevertheless, Amendola now appears extremely unlikely to suit up for Week 3, locking in fellow injury-prone wideout Julian Edelman as Tom Brady's presumptive top target for the time being. This was the risk when the Patriots let Wes Welker walk in favor of Amendola. Welker has missed just three games since 2004. Amendola will have missed 21 of his past 34 contests once he's officially deactivated Thursday.

How in the hell does Amendola hurt his groin, come back into the game after getting hurt, play great and then subsequently gets ruled out for a broad 2-6 week spectrum.

Brady just does not miss a beat. He seems like he could move an offense with a few of us lined up at receiver
