as is typical, Danny Amendola is "almost certain" to miss week 2 vs. the Jets.

Here we go!!!!
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports Danny Amendola (groin) could be sidelined 2-6 weeks.
It's a humorously broad timeline, and indicative of how little we truly know about Patriots injury situations. Nevertheless, Amendola now appears extremely unlikely to suit up for Week 3, locking in fellow injury-prone wideout Julian Edelman as Tom Brady's presumptive top target for the time being. This was the risk when the Patriots let Wes Welker walk in favor of Amendola. Welker has missed just three games since 2004. Amendola will have missed 21 of his past 34 contests once he's officially deactivated Thursday.
