I actually thought that Tim Tebow looked pretty damned good yesterday, for the first time in this winning streak of his. He was accurate with his throws and he evaded the defense well.

Furthermore, the read option made Minny D backs look silly as the corners mistakenly dropped off their man (a few times), believing the safety was on him when he was not. While I believe this will be corrected with good defenses and over time, the fact is, it hasn't yet. Tebow's done a great job of exploiting this.

Why don't teams use 8 in the box and blitz the linebacker or a cornerback? A critical flaw in his game is when Tebow scrambles in the backfield, he doesn't tuck the ball well and is prone to fumbles. He can't have all day to find the hole -- let him feel the pressure and force him to turn the ball over.

I believe a Top Ten team will demolish the Broncos (i.e. the Lions). You can't hope for Pick Sixes or critical late-game turnovers every week.

That said -- wow, first place. Bronco fans have to feel good about this move, no matter if it's the defense that has played well or Tebow.

probably his best overall game of the season.

weak/mediocre defensive teams are not adjusting well to this gimmicky offense. yet. i'm guessing they will in time. will tebow develop a solid passing game by then?

yeah, detroit wasn't fooled at all. this "hang around for a last-minute miracle" strategy can't last. denver won't stand much of a chance against quality playoff teams. that said...

whether you love tebow or hate him, whether you think it's more about him or the defense, broncos fans care about the team again. football is back in denver!

He definitely played well yesterday and those 2 scramble plays (the crazy one first, then the late TD) were great. Also, his passing numbers have suffered not just because of his inaccuracy but his receivers have dropped a lot of balls in previous weeks. Even yesterday, he put one right on the hands of one his receivers yesterday that should have been a TD.
If DMT didn't exist we would have to invent it. There has to be a weirdest thing. Once we have the concept weird, there has to be a weirdest thing. And DMT is simply it.

It wasn't a pretty throw...more of a mallard...but it was right in his hands, in stride, and definitely should have been a TD reception...

The Bears had a collective brain freeze in the fourth quarter. In addition to all the stuff Barber did, why play prevent defense with a small lead against a QB who is much more dangerous running than throwing?

Tebow ranks at about the middle of the pack (14th) with a passer rating of 83.6. That places him ahead of the likes of Cam Newton (82.3), Mark Sanchez (82.2), Andy Dalton (81.0), Michael Vick (80.6), Joe Flacco (80.0), Carson Palmer (77.7), Josh Freeman (73.5) and Sam Bradford (70.5).

Tebow tops the AFC in fourth-quarter passing with a 106.3 rating and among all NFL quarterbacks, only Eli Manning (111.8) and Aaron Rodgers (111.1) top Tebow in fourth-quarter efficiency.

He doesn't throw very many interceptions, and if you do that, your passer rating will be decent.

its a good question. I cant make heads or tails of whats going on in STL. With Bradford, Jackson and Lloyd youd think they have a nucleus for a good offense, especially with McDaniels calling the plays but its gone woefully bad.

I am not sure who I prefer in 2k12.

a side benefit of rarely getting the ball anywhere near his receivers.

Timmy came up big in the fourth quarter today. Unfortunately for Denver and/or Tebow supporters, he threw two Pick Sixes.

He and the rest of the Broncos were absolutely brutal today. Hopefully they can put this embarrassment out of their collective minds as a win against Orton and the Chiefs gets them the AFC West.
