Heh, there was one VD in particular where you had your team doing much, much better than I thought you'd end up doing. Turned out, unfortunately for you, that I was right on that one.


I haven't done projections for this draft but you look like the very clear leader to me at this point. There are a bunch of things that could change that dramatically, though.

I would also like to reiterate that I would prefer NOT to do another single season draft again. There's too much dependent on the whims of the draft and not enough dependent on actual strategy, in my opinion.

I concur ... plus there are too many eligible years, and WC's really negate strategy even further. We'd have to find a way to handicap the number of eligible years, and since WC's only exacerbate the problem, going deeper into the player pool won't help.

I think almost all of us have done something resembling that in this draft.

Sorry for the delay ... was busy most of the day, and really don't have a clue here ... my team has been in a real mess since the halfway point ... I've somehow left myself with ZQ and a catcher :stupid:

So you took one of my options ... that's 3 this round alone ... just like every other round. The nightmare continues

Anyone done any projections? I know I'm a floating corpse, but from looking at the line-ups, I'd say that maybe 6 teams have a shot: Slasher, TSG, Revo, Frae, ElD, Hacko ...

Seems to be there are so many things that you can't predict. If someone uses a QUIZY for a hitter vs. a pitcher can change things drastically. I sure don't have it figured out...

Yesterday was a delight. After 4 hours straight in a dentist chair, 27 shots, 23 X-rays, 3 cavities filled, 3 crowns put on, 1 root canal, 1 referral to a specialist to fix a botched root canal from 3 years ago and $3,000 later - my long dentist trip is over! When I left the dentist I felt like I had said some unsavory things about Mike Tyson's mother and subsequently paid the price. I learned two very important lessons yesterday. 1) Don't wait 4 years to go to the dentist if you have a massive love of sweets. 2) If you've ever said something along the lines of "I wish they'd just do all this work at once rather than making me come back 5 times" then you need to change your mind and go back 5 times. It's easier.

Are catchers eligible for the INF position or is that limited to the traditional 1B, 2B, SS, 3B group?

I'm kinda in this boat right now ... I've never had a problem with my teeth (no extractions, hardly ever had a toothaches etc), and the dentist was an unnecessary "luxury" expense when I was a student, so I didn't elect to get certain things done they told me I needed. I know they are going to to find a bunch more stuff I need done, but I really don't want to deal with the expense right now. All my $$ is tied up, and any more I get in has to be kept for "just in case" moments. No way I'm going to a cut price dentist ... the pain and the expense will just have to wait.

When I was a kid, my grandparents always told me to look after my teeth and my feet ... no matter what. They were wise people ... I still don't listen ... and these heals are killing me!

Catchers are eligible. They are also eligible at MI I believe (although don't take that as gospel).
