Joncarlos - usually my nemesis when if comes to stealing picks ... glad he's far away from me! Wasn't keen on the Joss pick in terms of value, but it made sense as a pairing with Radbourne. I'm a little surprised about the early Darrell Evans pick ... that is a pretty big dent to the BA so early. If I were looking at Evans I might have been inclined to wait and gamble for a few rounds ... especially given that it's a multi draft, and most people won't be wanting to take an early hit like that. Both minor issues, because Evans remains very good value ... and apart from those, very good value for all the other picks. JC teams usually look great up until the mid-way point ... can he keep up the momentum? Can he avoid getting down on his team like VD1 when he had a great shot of winning at one point?

I'm traveling this week, so I'll probably blow it earlier than usual. With Hornsby and Lajoie on board I knew I was taking Evans at some point, but I had no idea how early I needed to take him. Guess maybe I went too early.

Updating my list now and picks should be up in a bit.

Evans was still a very good value pick ... my thought was that he could have slipped further and further if no-one wanted to burn up their averages in a highly competitive draft, and that it would have been a gamble worth taking. Then again, there are only so many gambles you can take ... positions have to be filled sooner or later.

See ... Slasher keeps picking guys I'm looking at. I didn't really want Clarkson, so not bothered about losing him, but I couldn't pass him up again. Can't say I'm delirious about Slasher him though. Not sure what y'all are doing!

Quinn was another guy that I was wondering how long he'd linger out there.

I almost picked him in the 7th with Upton. That was supposed to be my big gamble. Delayed because I wasn't sure I'd get enough speed from my first deadball hitter to ride the early loss of a DB slot. Latham sorted that out ... but still didn't expect him to last this long.
