early keeper consideration

    I do have a couple more expensive options but I tend to discount them on the theory that if they were bought at auction prices this year, if they didn't have a big discount for some reason it's probably not worth committing to keeping them at an extra $5.

    That said, other options: YMolina $19, Aramis Ramirez $15, Reyes $28.
    In the best of times, our days are numbered, anyway. And it would be a crime against Nature for any generation to take the world crisis so solemnly that it put off enjoying those things for which we were presumably designed in the first place, and which the gravest statesmen and the hoarsest politicians hope to make available to all men in the end: I mean the opportunity to do good work, to fall in love, to enjoy friends, to sit under trees, to read, to hit a ball and bounce the baby.

      I don't think any of these are better than your top eight (six we listed + Ventura + Cespedes).
      If DMT didn't exist we would have to invent it. There has to be a weirdest thing. Once we have the concept weird, there has to be a weirdest thing. And DMT is simply it.

        I agree. I don't like to keep pitchers who aren't clearly the best available since it seems like good cheap pitchers are always available midseason or late in the auction; this year I drafted Hutchison $1, Ventura $1, Kluber $3 and have picked up McHugh, Keuchel and Beckett among others. Kluber, Chapman, and probably Harvey are good enough to lock up spots for, but I don't know if Ventura is. Close though.

              Edit to add quote from Altuve, who had the only two hits off Carrasco tonight (one a legit infield single, the other really an error on the shortstop): "I knew I was in trouble with him since my first at bat because he threw fastballs in the middle and I couldn’t hit it." This from the guy with the quickest, smoothest swing in the big leagues.

                    I switched out the last slot a lot...but this is who'd I keep...now. Ask me tomorrow, I'd switch.
                    It's not tomorrow, but later....Ventura out, Carrasco in.
                    Considering his only baseball post in the past year was bringing up a 3 year old thread to taunt Hornsby and he's never contributed a dime to our hatpass, perhaps?
