Yes. I used the #1 waiver priority for him last week.
I'm unconsoled I'm lonely, I am so much better than I used to be.

At this point, would you go with Alcides Escobar or Dee Gordon at SS?

I am feeling the love. I would roll the dice on the Dee-ster.

For a game style like this, you always play the short term boost with the better ceiling over the safer bet to be tolerable. I really am not sure if Dee will hit for enough of an average to stay at 2B for more than 1-2 months, but the dice should be rolled often.

Edit: Though after seeing Dee's .208/.299/.375 stat line coming into today's games and knowing his MLB BA woes of the past, I really doubt if he will last long in a starting role. He should end up with twice the steals Escobar during the time he is the starter, but will be cut bait whenever Guerrero is ready. I need to decide if I am going to cut Escobar or Gennett (another guy with a brutal spring so far, opening the door for Weeks) to make room for Gordon on my AFA team.

Plus claims in for Carter and Axford, who were dropped.

Every year I hate my team more. I was able to grab a few closers early last year and will look to do so again. Power is scarce but lots of speed. Taveras is out there and I will monitor his status. Last year I grabbed Myers, then after weeks of broken promises, dropped him...the morning he was called up. Patience, gwasshoppa...

I offered my KRod/Lindstrom for Panda and he countered with Nova for Panda. Yes, please! I picked up Lackey and dropped Dominguez.

I still have KRod for Abreu out there to a guy who has lots of bats. Chapman was dropped so I will probably stash him at some point.

I was worried about finding closers before the draft. I now have 5: Broxton, Kelley, Axford, K-Rod, Santos. They won't all keep the job but saves count whether you get them in April or July.

                      I traded Axford for Desmond.

I had offered him to another owner for Abreu (also has Prince and Adams) but the guy dragged his feet. I'm still hoping to do a 2- or 3-for-1 for Abreu.

                        1B Hosmer

                        DL Walker

I swapped Nova for Sandoval and Axford for Desmond, and got Hosmer from waivers. 16 points out of first. Really hurting in the hitting categories so I need to keep dealing.

My AFA team that I mistakenly created as a H2H team went 0-10 in the first week. And I was considering writing them off. But it's too much fun and I've never done this experiment as a H2H league before, so what the hell? They rewarded me with an 8-2 win in week 2. (Mostly because I thought I was doomed so I started T Ross vs DET and Nova vs BOS anyway)

It appears I am all in on the Indians.

Looking forward to hearing how this goes. I would think it would be difficult to win HR, RBI, R, maybe Ks. Right now I'm a bottom feeder in the batting cats (lots of steals and saves though!)

I guess the principles are the same: ride the hot hand, and hoarde saves and steals so you can trade them when other guys have someone go down. In H2H you will want to do it sooner than later, since you can't make up ground later. I traded Axford to the Parnell owner for Desmond, stating that he needed a second closer.

My initial approach was the opposite... there were a ton of low AVG, big power guys available (Dunn, Kelly JOhnson, Rasmus, A Soriano, Yan Gomes) and some pure speed guys (EY, Rajai, Eaton) so I was kind of planning on punting average. As the better players become available I am slowing bringing up my AVG.

Theoretically H2H should work better since I should have a dominant team when the playoffs start, *IF* I can make it there.

I love the Desmond deal for you. So far I haven't gotten too many bites on my trade offers. But I do have the #1 waiver spot and someone just dropped Wil Myers. I am strongly considering giving up the #1 slot to get Myers. Not sure how much better than that it will get.
