Not surprised you agree with me. You think everyone is juiced up. I bet you think Billy Hamilton is juicing.

That's not what was actually reported. They're gonna re-evaluate in 2 weeks. But yes, probably he's done for the year.

BOSTON — Blake Swihart was able to walk off the field under his own power Saturday, but he won’t be doing much walking in the near future. The Red Sox left fielder/catcher saw a foot specialist Sunday and was diagnosed with a severe left ankle sprain, manager John Farrell said after Boston’s 5-4 loss to […]

              • Red Sox deal for Aaron Hill: http://www.foxsports.com/wisconsin/s...ll-rijo-070716

I'm not familiar with Wilkerson, but Wendell Rijo is 10 or 11 on the Red Sox best prospects list. Sounds good to me as a Brewer fan

                • Perhaps this is a reason that the Red Sox were willing to deal Espinoza...Kopesch hit 105 MPH in his last start, 105 miles per hour! Along with sitting pretty consistently in the upper 90's...he also threw an 89 MPH change-up.

Red Sox's Michael Kopech: Continues scoreless streak
                  Michael Kopech, SP, BOS

(July 14, 2016 8:58 AM EDT) Kopech fired five scoreless innings, permitting four hits and one walk while striking out eight for High-A Salem on Wednesday. In three starts this season, he has not allowed a run in 13.1 innings.

A masterful performance for Kopech, who is trying to salvage the 2016 season after missing two-and-a-half months due to a fractured hand suffered during spring training while getting into an altercation with a teammate. He's anxious to put behind him the off-field problems that have surfaced the past year, including a 50-game suspension last season after testing positive for performance-

                  • top 3 hitters for the Red Sox today (16 runs so far & they haven't gotten into the bottom of the 6th yet!) ...

Dustin Pedroia, 4-4, 3 runs scored
                    Brock Holt, 0-4.
                    Mookie Betts, 4-4, 3 HRs, 8 RBIs

I imagine Brock is pretty quiet in the dugout right about now.
It certainly feels that way. But I'm distrustful of that feeling and am curious about evidence.

I was at the jay/red.sox game last night and told my wife and her cousin about the streak. After that, the two girls watched intently every time he came to the plate. Amazing streak in this day and age of swinging from the heels.

                        • look for Chris Sale to have a monster game today ... I just looked at the Jays starting lineup - no Donaldson (of course), no Tulo, no Martin (granted he's been brutal this year) ... Smoak is batting cleanup ... the bottom of the order goes Barney-Salty-Travis-Goins ... painful ...

Betts has now struck out in 3 of his last 5 PA.

                            This game is so strange.
