Leyland's former hitting coach Lloyd McClendon has been named the new manager of the Seattle Mariners.
He had a record of 336-446 as manager of the Pirates from 2001-2005. I do believe that McClendon is the only manager to ever successfully steal first base (see my avatar). It was the highlight of his Pittsburgh career.
