  • Judge hit his 45th HR yesterday. Rookie record for HRs is 49 by Mark McGwire in 1987. Judge has a shot at that.

Bandbox plus juiced balls= career year in hr. I've always liked him as a hitter though, so I'd be a believer into the high teens. Anything over that, I'd need assurances they plan to keep using juiced balls next year.

I see your point. Didi is #3 among full time SS, but he still earned only $19-$20. In 2018 he'll be 28 and he never had speed.

All that said, after two years and almost 1200 PA, I think the power is real.

                • Aaron Boone, who is the new Yankees manager, will be replaced at his old ESPN Sunday Night Baseball job by Alex Rodriguez. I thought Arod did a great job as a post-season baseball analyst for Fox TV. I'm guessing that his "consultant" deal with the Yankees didn't get renewed.

                    • So what's the prognosis for Greg Bird this season? I have him for $1 and he is on the cut line for my keeper list.

It's all about the health. Lefty, pull hitter, fly ball hitter, plate discipline isn't terrible, in Yankee Stadium, playing in that lineup. Probably hitting 6th but TBD on the lineup (I am thinking Gardy, Judge, Stanton, Didi, Sanchez, Bird, Hicks, 2B/3B and the other 2B/3B...)

AVG still not great, because, pull hitter, fly ball hitter, not great against lefties (but not, like, truly awful either).

                        520 ABs, .240, 28 HRs, 85 RBI?

                        Steamer says 487 PAs .255-26-74

Thanks JC. I am leaning towards keeping him.

Mine? 13 team mixed. My keeper list is so so. For $1 i think Bird is a good flyer to take a chance on

I think a $1 Bird is a good flyer in most league types.
