This is the headline story on CNN.com now. If that's what Selig wanted, then he got it. I can't see a single person who gains interest in baseball because of this, though. Steroids are so polarizing at this point that having such a massive contingent of players be suspended would pretty much sell me on the likelihood that the whole game is dirty. For purposes of interest level in the game, better for fans to have a suspension of disbelief when it comes to such things than for the realism to rear its ugly head.

And again, the union isn't just going to roll over on this, this is going to be a long, drawn out process that will likely go before an arbitrator. And based on what's been presented so far, MLB will lose because they're overstepping once again.
Frankly, at this point, I don't care anymore, I just want to watch baseball and enjoy it..."Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake."

Sooooo... this Bosch guy who went on ESPN and said the players didn't do PEDs, is now going to be the star witness in MLB's case that they did? Good luck with that. Sure, he was probably lying through his teeth on ESPN but now that it's out there, it sure does make things a lot uglier. Ask any prosecutor how they'd feel about their star witness making public statements about the defendant's innocence.
In a recent interview with ESPN, his only one since the scandal broke, Bosch said he knew nothing about performance-enhancing drugs and that media accounts of his alleged PED distribution amounted to "character assassination."
Shown a list of athletes who allegedly received PEDs through Biogenesis, Bosch told ESPN's Pedro Gomez, "No comment. I have never seen that in my life.
As for Robbie Cano, yes, he is somewhat implicated. I believe that someone who works for his charitable foundation appeared on the Biogenesis list. So the link to Cano is even shakier than the links to Braun, A-Rod, Cervelli, etc.

That's some bullshit right there.

I agree that the case for suspensions generally seem shaky.
More good news for for what it is worth, the legal analyst on espn radio this morning said that any possible suspensions are unlikely to take place this year, because of appeals.
