Quote of the day for me so far:
"Agua, Latinos? Agua, Latinos? No? Why is everyone so hydrated today?" - Kris Medlen to his teammates while handing out water during warm ups.

I'm so old, I remember when sunglasses weren't merely a fashion accessory for outfielders.

Wow, and he stroked that thing, didn't he? My wife looked up for the replay, and said "that's not a pitcher, is it?"

That wasn't bad rosin bags. He was doing his Lebron James pre-game ritual impression.

No one is admitting it, but I am calling April Fool.

How many times in the history of baseball has this happened?

To whom ever set him up...

                Nicely done.

Shouldn't you be more curious about where they both were, nine-to-ten months before your son was born?

from opening day to the worst day of the baseball season...

                        B-Fly's buddy David Cohen writes:
Yeah, I know the reason, but I don't like it. Not at all. Day two of the baseball season is a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. In fact, it is the absolute worst day of the baseball season.
                        ...
No matter, though, because baseball was back. And all was good in the world.

Until the next day, when the cruelty of the MLB scheduling office rips the growing excitement right out of our hands. And we wake up realizing we have to wait once again. This time just 45 hours, but 45 hours is too much. We had our taste of the real thing, and we want more.

We don't want to wait until tomorrow. Waiting is what the off-season is for.
I'm not expecting to grow flowers in the desert...
