Now, that said, a couple months ago, Jason Parks was trying to find a good example of a toolshed guy who was a complete disaster in the low minors but still made it, and he couldn't think of one. Nobody that couldn't hack it in rookie ball. Even guys who struggled in the minors usually hit when they first got there. Jackson DID hit when he first got there (.330 in the NWL in 2009) so that means there's hope.

I agree with Hammer, I also think it's ridiculous. And old fashioned.

Weapon 1, thanks again for trying to keep track of things at the very chaotic time of this draft, it's much appreciated.
Piney, great job as usual guiding and gently cajoling people along.

Still waiting to hear a good reason supporting starting lineups being filled out first. After former Broncos quarterback Brian Griese sprained his ankle and said he was tripped on the stairs of his home by his golden retriever, Bella: “The dog stood up on his hind legs and gave him a push? You might want to get rid of that dog, or put him in the circus, one of the two.”

I think that their is a strategy to this which makes the auction/drafts more fun.
That said, I'l, always vote to have the starters filled out before the reserves are allowed..."Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake."

My main league, which has been in existence since the mid 80s, has always had one catcher. It was founded before there was too much publicity about the Founding Fathers and their format. A lot of our rules have evolved over time to better harmonize with standard fantasy baseball formats, but that's not one of them.Originally posted by Kevin SeitzerWe pinch ran for Altuve specifically to screw over Mith's fantasy team.

Pete and I have disagreed a few times over the years - we've always agreed to disagree, it's never escalated or gone personal - seems to be a pretty good egg.
Anyway - I think Pete is just stirring the pot on the draft order discussion because he Fubard his pick...he knew the rules.
Revo on the other hand is just being ornery and a f'n Red Ass.....LOL
