Are the Brewers expected to start Joey Ortiz?

If so, his recent ADP over 700 is way off.

While the trade might make sense for both sides, and Ortiz might be a starter for the Brewers, it still seems as if the Brewers blinked first and ended up with a labor of a light return.

In addition to Hall & Ortiz, the Brewers also get the 34th overall pick in the 2024 draft.

The Orioles will recoup the lost draft pick when they make a qualifying offer to Burnes after the season and receive a 2025 Competitive Balance Round A draft pick. That is assuming that Burnes has a good year and turns down the qualifying offer. And the Orioles still have the No. 22 and No. 32 selections this summer.
