Acuna's putting himself in elite company with this season's totals. He's having kind of a Ricky Henderson/Eric Davis in their prime season.

In 1986, Eric Davis hit .277/.378/.523 with 27 HRs, 71 RBIs, 97 Runs, 80 SBs.....and finished 12th for MVP -- behind even Billy Doran, who hit .276 with 6 HRs and 37 RBIs.

In 1985, Rickey hit .314/.419/.516 with 24 HRs, 72 RBIs, 146 Runs and 80 SBs. This season, which registered a 9.9 WAR, was only good enough for 3rd place in the AL MVP voting, lol.

Volpe looks like an imposter on this list.

        Another candidate for your list:

CJ Abrams - SS WAS 15 HR / 38 SB

The power side is coming along more than people realize. He is thin and has shown a poor eye, but the upside is very real and he’s already delivering. I definitely take him over Volpe for example.

Will this be a record season for 20/20?

I would throw out Ha Suang Kim of the Padres. 17/31 playing stellar defense. Should get some down ballot MVP votes.

Blake Dunn now has made the minor league 20/50 club (22HR 52SB). How many other players have done this in the minor leagues this century? One - Anthony Volpe last year (21HR 50SB). Jonatan Clase has a good shot to do it this year also (currently 19HR 68SB).

How good a prospect is Dunn? (#20 on BA's Reds mid-season list and (#22 on MLB's so apparently kinda fringy. But his stock may be headed up.

Acuna now needs 6 more homers to reach 40/40.

Only four players have done it so far: Bonds, Canseco, ARod, and Soriano.

Maybe he'll be the first to do it and make the HOF?
